  • Best season for travel:

  • Dry season lasts from November to March, the weather is sunny, little rain and a pleasant climate. This season is the most suitable time to travel to Phu Quoc.

  • Rainy season: From July to October, easy to appear with moderate and heavy rains.

  • Hot season: April to June

  • Transportation:

  • Phu Quoc international airport: located on Long Beach’s south side, about 9km from Duong Dong town. There are several flights a day from HCMC and HN.

  • Ferry: when the weather permits, ferries can be an option. Go at least once a day from Ha Tien (1.5 hours) and Rach Gia (2.5 hours) to Phu Quoc and vice versa. Most passengers take the Superdong fast boat, which is efficient, orderly, air-conditioned, and pleasant.

  • Check the ferry schedule in advance and arrive at the terminal with plenty of time to spare, just in case.
  • Book your ferry tickets in advance during peak travel seasons.
  • The weather may affect the ferry service, be prepared for possible delays or cancellations due to rough seas.
  • Bring along all necessary travel document, including identification papers.
  • Consider taking medication if you are phone to motion sickness.
  • Bring cash with you as there are no ATMs available on board and some shops on the islands may not accept cards.
  • Taxi: available outside Phu Quoc international airport, as well as prominent resorts and places of interest on the island.

  • Bicycle: rent a bicycle is offered by most hotels and resorts on the island for around US$ 1.00 per day or free depending on the hotel and resort.
