  • Train: The most popular way to reach Sapa is by train. The nearest train station is Lao Cai, and from there, you can take a bus or taxi to Sapa (about a 1-hour drive).

Trains from Hanoi to Lao Cai run regularly. The journey takes approximately 8-9 hours. Overnight trains with sleeper cabins are available.

  • Bus: There are buses that operate between Hanoi and Sapa. The journey takes around 5-6 hours, and there are both day and night buses available.
