  • Best time to travel: 

Being in the tropical climate zone therefore visitor can visit this coastline city all year round. It has 2 separate seasons:

  1. The rainy seasons: from May to October. It is recognized by occasional showers, and it is advisable that you should bring rain gear and check the weather forecast to avoid any potential downpours.

  2. The dry seasons: from December to April. This season is marked by minimal rainfall and creating an enjoyable atmosphere for tourists to explore the city’s attractions.

The best time to visit Vung Tau is during the dry season, as Vung Tau weather is generally sunny, with less rainfall and comfortable temperatures. They are all ideal conditions for sunbathing, swimming, and engaging in water sports along the pristine beaches.

  • Transportation.

By bus: the common transportation to Vung Tau by local people. There are many buses daily to this city, normally Phuong Trang (Futa), Kumho Samco, Hoa Mai, Toan Thang, etc. It takes around 1.5 – 2 hours to reach Vung Tau. Each 30 minutes has 1 bus leave the bus station depend on each bus company.

By speedboat: available daily between HCMC and VT. It takes around 1.5 hours to reach the city. Some speedboat companies are Vina Express, Petro Pacific Express and Green lines. Price is from 7 to 12 USD/ticket
